The Philips SmartBright twin head LED Motion Sensor light fitting is an ideal replacement for older style outdoor motion sensor and security lighting.

It is designed as a "fit and forget" solution - incorporating a daylight and motion sensor so it is only on when actually needed.

Philips LED Motion Sensor Installation & Adjustment

The Philips Twin Head LED Motion Sensor Light can be adjusted in a wide variety of ways.

Generally speaking, the motion sensor is more sensitive to objects moving across its field of view. It is less sensitive to objects moving directly towards the sensor head.

Philips Ld Sensor Flood Range

The lights can be adjusted side-to-side by up to 90° in each direction. The PIR motion sensor can be adjusted by 90˚ side-to-side and up-down.

The lights can be adjusted 120˚ up-down. For the PIR sensor, there is an adjustment bar on the back of motion sensor allowing a tilt up to 90° downward from horizontal.

Philips LED Sensor Flood Adjustability

The sensor itself can also be adjusted - both for daylight sensitivity and time of operation. The "on" time control is for between 10 seconds and 7 minutes. The "Lux" sensor determines whether the light will still come on during the day, or only after dark. All of these settings are user adjustable on the outside of the unit, so you can still make changes after your electrician has completed the installation.





LED Sensor Light Manual Override Feature

With this Philips LED motion sensor you can override the automatic operation and keep the lights on regardless of motion detection.

To enable this "Manual Override" mode, first ensure that the lights are switched on and then flick the wall switch off and on twice (off-on, off-on) within 8 seconds. The interval between the first and second operation must be within 0.5 - 2 seconds.

In Manual Override mode, the lights will remain on for around 5 hours. After 5 hours the lights will turn off and the motion sensor will revert to Automatic Operation.

Users can also manually set the motion sensor back to Automatic Operation by:

1) Turning the wall switch off and on twice within 8 seconds, or

2) Switch the light off for at least 10 seconds and then turning it back on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the spot lights / bulbs be changed?

No - there is no need for the bulbs to be changed. The fitting is completely sealed to ensure an extremely long lifetime. In other words, the LEDs last for so long that they are no longer the most likely point of failure in an integrated light fitting such as this.

Is it available in another colour such as white?

No - it is only available in black as pictured.
