Osram Wifi Gateway for ZigBee Light Bulbs
This gateway connects to your router / internet connection via Wifi. The Lightify light bulbs, in turn, connect to the gateway using the Zigbee LightLink standard.
The Lightify range can be combined with other Zigbee LightLink components. However, compatibility is not guaranteed with other brands. For example, it is our understanding that Osram Lightify is not presently cross-compatible with Philips Hue at this stage. On the other hand, Lightify is cross-compatible with Nest.
Switch Lightify lights using a normal light switch
You can still use your 'normal' light switches with the Osram Lightify system.
- If lights are switched on and off at the light switch they will come on at 100% brightness in Warm White (2700K).
- If lamps are switched on and off via the app, the lamps switch on in the previously selected mode.

Frequently Asked Questions - Lightify Gateway
How many users can use the system simultaneously?
A maximum of five users are able to access a LIGHTIFY system simultaneously.
Is an Internet connection needed for control?
After initial setup and configuration, controlling lamps offline is also supported. In other words, even when your home WiFi is not connected to the Internet you can still use the app to control the lights.
However, the LIGHTIFY system has been designed as an online system, and needs to be connected to the Internet to make all functions available. Access to the Internet during installation and configuration is mandatory.
Can I extend the wireless range?
There is generally no need for this, as the ZigBee signal is amplified and extended with every LIGHTIFY product that you add. The light bulbs form a 'mesh network' with each other to ensure all are connected back to the Gateway.
What can I do if LIGHTIFY is not working?
If problems occur, you need to make sure that your Wi-Fi router as well as your internet connection are stable and connected to the LIGHTIFY Gateway. Please also test the connection between your smart device and Wi-Fi router.
Quick individual bulb reset: Switch it off and on again at the light switch. Erasing a product or resetting it completely can also be done via the App.
Full reset: If problems with the Gateway or the entire system persist, you always have the option to reset the entire system including all lamps via the App.
Manual reset: You can also reset the Gateway manually by keeping the reset button pressed for at least 5 seconds (whilst plugged in).
Still need help? If all else fails you can send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with a photo of the backside of your LIGHTIFY Gateway. They will do the reset and get your system back up and running.
After any reset use your existing login via “I already have an account.”
