Our Power Meter with a Separate Screen helps you find hidden energy guzzlers and reduce your electricity bills.
Unlike other power meters, it has a separate LCD screen on a 1.2‑metre cord, so you can easily read it even when the outlet is hidden or close to the ground.
It measures the following:
- Watts (W) - Real-time power usage.
- Kilowatt-hours (kWh) - Total energy usage over time.
- Cost ($) - Calculated based on your electricity tariffs.
- Volts, Amps, & More - Including estimated CO₂ emissions.
Measure Any Plug-in Appliance
The power meter measures any standard plug-in appliance's energy usage and operating cost, including:

How to Use Our Power Meter
The Reduction Revolution Power Meter is super easy to use. Plug the meter into a power outlet, position the screen for easy viewing, and you're ready to start measuring. The display even includes two hook recesses on the back for hanging on a nail or screw.
The power meter's display screen has three main sections:
- The top section displays real-time usage in Watts, Volts, Amps, Cost, and KgCO₂.
- The middle section shows cumulative or total cost, kWh, and KgCO₂ since the last reset. It displays this data for the previous week, month, and year.
- The bottom section displays the current time and day of the week.
Printed instructions are included with the meter.

How accurate are the measurements?
This power meter provides highly accurate readings that are comparable to our higher-end power meters.
How do I reset the readings?
To reset the accumulated data, press and hold the 'TOTAL' and 'UP' buttons simultaneously for two seconds. To clear all settings and restart the device, press the 'RESET' button on the front of the unit with a pointed tip item like a pen or toothpick.
What is the minimum power consumption that this meter can detect?
The Reduction Revolution Power Meter With Separate Screen can detect power consumption as low as 0.2 watts, making it suitable for even small power supplies. For more sensitive measurements, consider the Power Mate Lite, which can track power down to 0.01 watts.
Does the Power Meter measure Real Power?
This power meter measures 'Real Power' - the energy consumption you are billed for. It provides accurate and instantaneous power measurements in Watts (W) and kilowatt-hours (kWh) over time. Unlike other low-end power meters, this power meter ensures accurate readings and always displays real power.
