Linkable LED Light Fitting With Selectable Colour Temperature
The Philips Scene Switch Trunkable LED Batten is a DIY-friendly, linkable light fitting. Its slimline, integrated design means there are no tubes to replace.
You can install it anywhere you need extra light, whether within cabinetry or mounted directly to the wall or ceiling. It's available in two lengths
- 6.5W (600mm) '2 Foot' - for up to 850 lumens of light output.
- 13W (1200mm) '4 Foot' - for up to 1700 lumens of light output.
Each Philips Linkable LED light includes a 1m power cord, 0.2m linking cable, mounting clips and screws.
Energy-Saving & Long-Lasting. The Philips Linkable LED batten uses less than 50% of the electricity of an old T8 fluro-tube fitting. Manufactured by Philips with a rated lifetime of 30,000 hours, you can trust the durability and longevity of this LED batten.
Easy to Install & Expandable. The plug-and-play design of these Linkable battens means you can install them yourself, no electrician required. You can plug them together to form a continuous lighting run. Alternatively, you can join them with the 20cm linking cables provided. You can power up to eight battens of either size from one power plug.
Selectable Colour Temperature. A unique feature of these connectable lights is the 'Scene Switch' technology. It allows you to switch and select a preferred colour temperature by toggling the switch where the lights are plugged in. The last-used setting is retained by default, and you can easily change or reset the colour temperature when needed.
The Philips Linkable LED batten has three colour temperatures built-in (3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, and 6500K cool daylight).
Ultra-Compact & Versatile Design. These slimline lights are only 2cm wide and 3cm tall, making them an unobtrusive addition to any space. They are rated for indoor use and suit a variety of situations, including:
- Cabinets, shelves, and workbenches
- Garages, workshops, and sheds
- Shop window displays and signage
- Back office and storage areas
- Corridors and stairwells (non-emergency)

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I turn these lights on or off?
If your power outlet is in a good spot, you can switch it on and off there. Otherwise, check out our timers, plugs, and remote sockets.
How do I use the 'Scene Switch' colour temperature selector?
The lights will retain their last-used colour temperature. So once you have set your desired colour, you can operate the lights normally.
To change the colour temperature, toggle the power switch (on-off-on) within six seconds. You can cycle through 'relax mode' (3000K), 'work mode' (6500K) and 'awake mode' (4000K) as required.
To reset all linked lights to the default setting (3000K), quickly toggle the power twice (on-off-on-off). This allows you to return all lights to the same colour temperature if they have fallen out of sync during set-up and installation.
How do these linkable battens compare to other LED battens?
Unlike our other LED battens that require an electrician for installation, these linkable LED lights can be self-installed. This installation flexibility makes up for the fact they are slightly less bright than some of our other LED battens. Here's how they compare to some others in our range:
- Philips Linkable (DIY) - up to 13 watts (1,750 lumens)
- Philips Slimline - up to 20 watts (2,000 lumens)
- Philips Tri Colour - up to 35 watts (4,100 lumens)
- Philips Weatherproof - up to 36 watts (4,000 lumens)
What other options are available?
See our complete range of LED batten lights for more options. All our LED battens combine the light fitting and light source into one unit - there are no separate tubes to fit or replace. If you’d prefer to keep your existing light fittings and replace your fluro tubes, see our range of LED tubes.
