Choose Your LED Flood Light Size
20 Watt (2,400 lumens) and 50 Watt (6,000 lumens)
These lower-wattage floodlights are ideal for most residential and semi-rural outdoor lighting needs. They suit verandahs, patios, decks, pathways, driveways, sheds, carports, and building perimeter lighting.
Did You Know? The Philips 50W LED flood light is brighter than an old-fashioned 500W halogen flood. So, be careful not to over-spec your outdoor lighting - these are bright despite their seemingly low wattage.
100 Watt (12,000 lumens) and 200 Watt (24,000 lumens)
These higher-wattage LED floodlights are typically used in commercial, large-area, or high-brightness applications. They are best suited to higher mounting - whether pole-mounted or on the side of a building. They are often used in parking areas, industrial estates, and sporting practice areas.
Some situations, like perimeter or signage lighting, may benefit from several lower-wattage floodlights spaced out eveningly rather than a single high-wattage option.
Another important consideration is the physical size of each LED flood light. At just 8cm by 15cm, the 20W flood light is tiny compared to the 200W option, which is 30cm by 48cm. All models have a neat, slimline profile at only 3 to 4cm thick.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use these with a motion sensor?
Yes, you can ask your electrician to wire in a motion sensor for use with any of these LED flood lights. We recommend this outdoor motion sensor, which is also available in black.
The standalone motion sensors we sell use a '3-wire' configuration. If you use a '2-wire' sensor, the floodlight may remain dimly lit when off due to the sensor's leakage current.
Alternatively, we sell a fully integrated sensor flood light in the 20W and 50W sizes.
Can I use these alongside previous Philips LED flood lights?
Yes, these LED floodlights look similar to the previous Philips BVP151 range. They differ from previous options in three key ways:
- They now include a tri-colour switch to tune the lighting colour temperature. Choose the middle 'NW' setting to match your previous single-colour LED floods.
- They are up to 25% brighter than previous models. For example, if you purchased a 70W Philips BVP173 (6,600lm) from us a few years ago, the latest 50W unit produces almost the same amount of light (6,000lm) while using notably less power.
- They have a longer rated lifetime of 50,000 hours, compared to 30,000 hours on some older models.
What other LED floods do you sell?
The Philips flood lights on this page are our most popular. For other options, including smart floodlights and portable work lights, see our complete range of LED floodlights. For road or area lighting, see our LED street lights, which are best suited to replace existing pole-mounted lights.
