Is this a base kit or an extension kit?
This item is a Low-Volt extension light. It does not include the main power supply unit (PSU) that plugs into your wall socket. It is designed to daisy-chain off an existing Hue outdoor low-voltage system or a separately purchased Hue power supply.
Can I use this without a Hue Bridge?
No, the Hue Impress requires a Philips Hue Bridge to function. The Bridge enables colour control, timers, and remote access via the Hue App.
How many Impress lights can I connect?
You can connect multiple lights up to the maximum wattage of your Power Supply (40W or 100W). Since this Impress model uses 16W, you can connect up to 2 units to a 40W supply or up to 6 units to a 100W supply.
