Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the 30W LED flood light with a motion sensor?

Yes - you can ask your electrician to wire in a motion sensor for use with this 30W LED flood light. We recommend a '3-wire' motion sensor (also available in black). Note: if you use a '2 wire' sensor, the floodlight may light up dimly when 'off' due sensor's leakage current.

Are there any other wattage options?

Yes - see our complete range of floodlights and streetlights for other options.

incorrect wattage.

The so-called 30 watt fittings are actually 26.1 watts. As stated on the spec plate
there are 90 LEDs at .29 watts per LED. This is a fair way off what is stated on the box.

Hi John, The floodlight wattage is based on power draw of the whole fitting, not nominal LED chip rating. Key figures are light output (3,600 lumens) and luminous efficacy (120 lumens/watt). We think the 30W unit is impressively bright for it's size but if you have a requirement for even more light, we have other Philips models from 50W (6,000lm) to 200W (24,000lm).
