LED Starter With Fuse
The Osram T8 LED Tube Starter can be used with all LED tubes regardless of brand, except our circular LED tube.
Please note that all our LED tubes have an LED starter included in the price. Buy this item if you require LED starters for a brand that doesn't include them or if you need some spares or replacements.
How is an LED starter different to a regular fluorescent starter?
An LED Starter is simply a straight-through electrical connector with a safety fuse. It completes the circuit for an LED tube when installed in an old fluorescent tube light fitting.
Old-fashioned fluro tube starters, on the other hand, heat up and cause an open circuit. As such, you cannot use an LED starter with an old fluorescent tube or vice-versa.

Installation is straightforward for fluro fittings with replaceable starters, as shown below:

Is this a dummy starter for an LED tube?
These LED starters are sometimes called 'dummy starters' for LED tubes. They still contain a safety fuse inside. They are only dummy starters in that they work differently from old fluorescent tube starters.
