How can I be sure that I have a G24d-3 type light fitting?

To ensure you buy the correct light bulb, you can:

  • Check for the code 'G24d-3' or 'G24D-3' on the base of your existing light bulb, light fitting, or old light bulb box. Another hint is that the old lights typically used 26W of power.
  • Check that the position of the two metal pins (blue) and two notches (red) match the image below:

Excellent replacement for CFLs

We have eight lights with G24d-2 and two with G24d-3 base lamps - a total of 40 bulbs. The replacement with these LED units was very straight forward with no need to remove the balasts. They now give much better light output.

A happy customer

I have spent much time searching for this bulb with its unique pin and notch configuration. It was extremely helpful to see close up pictures of the bulb on the Revolution Reduction website so that I knew that I was purchasing the correct bulb. Excellent service. Prompt delivery.
My one comment regarding the LED bulb is that light is emitted from only 3 of 4 sides of the bulb due to its design. My light fitting configuration dictates a bulb position directing light up, down and right so unfortunately not much light is shone to the left.
