Adjustable Black Motion Sensor
The EGLO Detect Me 7 is an adjustable wall-mounted black motion sensor. It uses a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to detect movement and switch electrical loads on and off.
It's commonly used for security lighting around buildings, walkways and driveways. You can pair it with one of our floodlights to illuminate dark areas and only use power when needed. Key features include:

Black Motion Sensor - Installation & Adjustment
You can install this black sensor inside or outside. It detects motion at a distance of up to 18 metres across a 120˚ field of view. The recommended installation height is between 1.8 and 2.5 metres.

Once mounted, the sensor can swivel freely on an articulated arm to point wherever it's most needed. It can move side to side by 180° and up and down by 90°. Once positioned, toolless adjusters let you quickly lock in the desired orientation.
The sensor can be adjusted for time of operation, sensor sensitivity, and daylight sensitivity:
- The TIME control is for between 10 seconds and 30 minutes. The timer resets each time motion is detected, so it won't switch on and off if you keep moving within the field of view.
- The SENS setting adjusts how sensitive the sensor is to motion. Adjust this setting if your sensor is triggered too readily (or not often enough).
- The LUX sensor determines whether the light will still come on during the day or only after dark.
All of these settings are user-adjustable on the underside of the unit. So you can still make changes after your electrician has completed the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the sensor be disabled so I can keep my lights on ('manual override')?
Yes - a manual override is built-in. To disable the sensor and keep your lights on, switch the power off and on twice within about three seconds. To enable the sensor again, switch the power off for 10 seconds, then switch it back on.
