Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to remove the battery each time I recharge?
No. The orange smart tab has an on/off button and a small 12V barrel socket behind it. So, once your Ploov is set up with the battery installed, you simply plug the supplied 12V charging cable in to recharge.
Can I run the Ploov whilst it's charging?
Yes. You can continue to operate the Ploov whilst it's plugged in and recharging. The charging cable is about 2m long.
Is the outer cover machine washable?
Yes. Remove the inner cover, which includes the heating element and battery, from the outer cover first. Then, machine wash it per the care label instructions.
Can I use the Ploov outdoors?
The Original and Velvet covers are designed for indoor use. If you plan to use your Ploov outdoors - like on a balcony, pergola, or when camping - take a look at the Outdoor Grey variant available in the 45x45cm size, which features a more durable, weather-resistant fabric.
Will I be able to feel the battery inside the cushion?
Not really, as the battery is inside a pouch at the back of the inner cover (on the non-heated side). This means there is a cushion between you and the battery. So, you can't feel or see the battery under normal use.
