How does extending the Lightstrip Plus kit compare with using multiple kits?
This 1m extension easily connects to any existing 2m Lightstrip Plus Kit, allowing you to cover more area with minimal fuss.
However, extensions to the original kit don't increase the overall light output. It is limited to 1600 lumens by the 20 watt power supply included with the 2m Lightstrip Plus kit. In many situations, dividing this light output over a longer length is bright enough to achieve the desired lighting effect.
Where high brightness is desired, use multiple Lightstrip Plus kits instead of extending the original. For example, two 2m Lightstrip Plus kits will have a combined light output of 3200 lumens over 4m, whereas a single 2m Lightstrip Plus kit with two 1m extensions attached will output 1600 lumens over the 4m length.
