Heated Throw Rug Over Blanket

Are Heated Throws Expensive to Run?

No, quite the opposite! The Dimplex heated throw rug will cost you about 5 cents a day to operate. Yup, you read that right. Assuming you use it for about 4 hours a day on a medium heat setting, it would use just 0.2kWh/day of electricity.

The heated throw blanket gets away with such minimal energy usage because it heats you directly. This is unlike most other plug-in electric heaters which try to heat the entire room all around you.

How does the over-heat protection work?

This electric throw blanket includes several safety features. One of these is an over-heating sensor that is built-in to the controller. As such, the controller should not be left covered-up by the heated blanket.

Can I machine wash the heated throw rug?

Yes. Firstly, make sure you disconnect the power cord and controller from the heated throw rug before doing any cleaning.

For a quick spot clean, use a damp cloth with a mild detergent on the affected area. For a more thorough clean, use your washing machine on the 'hand wash' or 'delicates' mode. In either case, ensure the blanket is completely dry before reconnecting it to the controller. Do not wring or spin dry the heated throw.

The heated throw blanket comes with printed instructions which include more detail on how you can wash it.
