FLIR C3-X Infrared Camera With Wifi

The FLIR C3-X is an updated version of the previous FLIR C2 and C3 models. Here's why it's a great value thermal camera:

Easy to Use. The FLIR C3-X has an easy to use 3.5-inch touch screen. It also incorporates a standard tripod mount and a bright LED flashlight.

Quality Thermal Images. At 12,288 thermal pixels, the FLIR C3-X has more than double the resolution of the previous FLIR C3 model. A separate visual camera adds further clarity to the thermal images.

Automatic Image Backup. The FLIR C3-X is Wifi and Bluetooth enabled and can automatically back up your images to FLIR's free Ignite cloud storage.

Rugged Design. The FLIR C3-X is built to survive a 2m drop and carried an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water.

FLIR C3-X Thermal Inspection

The FLIR C3-X weighs just 190 grams - about the same as an iPhone.

Easily Detect Faults & Issues - FLIR C3-X

Do I have to use the FLIR Ignite cloud platform?

No - FLIR Ignite is a new and optional cloud-based image backup service. It's free up to 1GB of storage, which is a lot of thermal images.

Alternatively, you can plug the FLIR C3-X into your computer with the supplied USB cable. Then you can view and download the images using your file system, just like a digital camera. If you use a Mac you will need to download this app to use this method.

How does the FLIR C3-X differ from the FLIR C5?

The FLIR C3-X is an excellent value entry-level camera from FLIR's Cx Series. The FLIR C3-X comes in the same form factor and shares most specifications with the FLIR C5. However, if you can afford it, the FLIR C5 offers the following additional features:

  • 50% more thermal resolution,
  • One-touch level and span,
  • A wider temperature range (up to 400˚C).
