Black Extension Rod in Four Sizes
This is an extension pole for our EGLO Surf ceiling fans with a black downrod colour.
It's available in four size options:
- 450mm (45cm, 0.45m) - suits 2.7m or higher ceilings
- 600mm (60cm, 0.6m) - works with 2.9m or higher ceilings
- 900mm (90cm, 0.9m) - best for 3.2m or higher ceilings
- 1800mm (180cm, 1.8m) - for very high ceilings, over 4m.
Down rods lower the height of ceiling fans in rooms with high or vaulted ceilings.
- High Ceilings. Dropping the ceiling fan from high ceilings will make them more effective.
- Sloped Ceilings. Ceilings with a steep incline may also require a downrod. A down rod can give the fan better clearance from the ceiling or other building elements for these roof types.
This ceiling fan extension rod includes a wiring loom for quick installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the total drop height from the ceiling with the downrod included?
You can add about 200mm (20cm) to the downrod length for an estimate of the total height from the ceiling to the bottom of the fan.
Can the downrod be cut down to a custom size?
Cutting Surf downrods is not recommended. Please choose from the available sizes instead. If shortening is attempted, installers must accurately drill four precisely sized and positioned holes, then tap threads into two of the new holes.
