Optional Remote for EGLO Aloha Ceiling Fans
This is an optional remote for our range of EGLO Aloha DC Ceiling Fans. It suits both models - with and without the LED light installed. The EGLO part number 206637.
This remote control 'transmitter' is available for customers who wish to use a handheld wireless remote in addition to the Wall Control. It can also be used as the sole method of controlling the Aloha fans. It comes with a wall cradle and uses two AAA batteries.
How to pair an EGLO ceiling fan remote control and receiver
To add the remote control or re-sync an existing one, follow these steps:
Single Fan Installation
- Switch the power supply on at the wall or isolation switch. The receiver inside the ceiling fan will beep.
- Within 30 seconds, press and hold the FAN OFF button for 10 seconds or until it beeps (pairing has been successful).
Multiple Fan Installation
Important: Each fan and remote must be paired with all other fans switched off at their isolation switches or disconnected from power.
- Complete steps 1 and 2 above for the first fan.
- Switch off the first fan at the wall or isolation switch.
- Move on to the second fan and repeat the above process until all fans have been paired individually.
For full details, see the Installation Guide (PDF).
What should I do if the remote and receiver do not sync?
If the remote control does not pair on your first attempt, switch the fan off at its isolation switch. Leave it disconnected for at least 60 seconds. Then follow this pairing method:
- Press and hold down the fan OFF button on the remote (do not let go of the button, the red light on the remote should stay lit).
- While continuing to hold down the OFF button, restore power to the fan and wait 10 seconds or until a beep is heard from the fan. Release the button. The beep indicates successful pairing.
How to unpair a remote from the fan's receiver?
Note: Applies only to fans with '2PD' written on the receiver label.
- Turn the fan's power OFF at the isolation switch and wait 10 seconds.
- Turn power to the fan ON and within 5 seconds, hold down the Speed 2 button.
- After 6 seconds, the fan will emit a long beep to confirm successful unpairing.
- Release the Speed 2 button. Any remote pairings will now be cleared from the receiver.
Then follow the pairing instructions above to add a remote and/or wall controller.
