Steplight Pty Ltd was founded in 2007 and involved the collaboration of many people and organisations over several years.

The products and services of Steplight are now available via Reduction Revolution's range.

Reduction Revolution brings together the prior offerings and expertise of both Negergy and Steplight.

Case Study: Sustainability Workshops

Steplight delivered a broad range of workshops for local government. Topics covered include: Understanding Your Ecological Footprint, Measuring and Monitoring Power Consumption and, Energy Efficiency Tips for Households. Clients include Blacktown, The Hills, Pittwater, Blue Mountains and Liverpool Councils.

Case Study: Energy Efficiency for Small Business

Steplight’s team of professional energy auditors were accredited assessors in the NSW Government Energy Efficiency for Small Business program. Steplight completed several hundred business energy assessments for this and other related programs. The EESBP involved the completion of an energy audit and facilitation of energy efficiency retrofits at participating businesses.

Case Study: Programs for Energy Utilities

Steplight delivered a number of programs for energy utilities. For Integral / Endeavour Energy Steplight supplied and installed 400 home energy monitors as part of a demand management program. Steplight also supplied a large number of plug-in power meters to Trust Power (New Zealand) for a customer rewards program and to Sustainability Victoria for the Energy & Water Taskforce Program.

Case Study: Y Green Western Sydney

This program saw the completion of over 2,000 home energy and water assessments, delivered by 100 young people trained as sustainability assessors. The project involved collaboration between Steplight, MTC Work Solutions, Dusseldorp Skills Forum and seven local governments. The federal government Jobs Fund initiative funded the program.  

Case Study: The igreen Program

igreen is a high school program which creates opportunities for the development of green skills in young people. Students complete a training program and then a number of home sustainability assessments in their local community. igreen programs have been implemented at a number of schools across three states (NSW, Victoria and Tasmania).
