Also available in: Edison Screw Colour Change Bulb.

Change the Mood Without Changing Light Bulbs

Warm white (3000K) is a relaxing lighting colour, often referred to as 'soft white'. It's an orange-tinged light that you may prefer in a bedroom or living area.

Cool white (6500K) is associated with work and productivity. It's often referred to as a 'bright white' or 'daylight' colour - almost blue in its appearance. A colour temperature you may prefer in a study, laundry, kitchen, or work area.

The problem is, these different requirements are often in the same room. For example:

  • Your kitchen forms part of your living area.
  • A spare bedroom doubles as a study.
  • A kids room for school work, and also for relaxing.

And some people just prefer one colour temperature over the other, regardless of what they're doing.

This is where the Philips SceneSwitch Colour Change B22 bulbs can come in handy. You can switch between the two colours by flicking your existing light switch. It's a light bulb that toggles between the two colour temperatures each time you switch it off and on.
