Premium MR16 Halogen Downlight Replacement

The Philips ExpertColor Master LED MR16 7.2 Watt is a direct replacement for 'low voltage' downlights when the best quality light is needed.

Here's why we think the Expert Colour Series is the ideal retro-fit bulb where colour accuracy matters:

  • Highly accurate colour rendering (97 CRI).
  • Comparable brightness to 50 Watt halogens (85%+ energy savings).
  • Works in both dimmable and non-dimmable fittings.
  • Designed to work with existing transformers.
  • You can replace them yourself - no electrician required.

Where Does Colour Accuracy (High CRI) Matter?

Our popular Philips MR16 LED already has a high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 90. It's perfect throughout the home, office and many retail environments. But Philips ExpertColor's higher CRI of 97 makes it a better choice in some situations.

The lighting of a space impacts the way we perceive the colour of objects in the room. And some situations demand the highest colour rendering possible. These include retail environments like cosmetics, clothing or jewellery. Museums, libraries, art galleries, and photo galleries are further examples. At home, they are ideal for artist studios, sewing rooms, or photographic work.
