It's unlikely, for two main reasons:
1) Glass is opaque to infrared but transparent to visible light. Therefore the glass (eg. of a window) provides a barrier of sorts to infrared inspection or surveillance.
2) On the other hand, any visible-light-based system can't go through a visual barrier eg. blinds / curtains / wall / etc.
