Energy Efficiency & Sustainability Programs

Our products and services can be deployed in a variety of ways to enable the delivery of effective energy and resource efficiency programs.

Programs may include a combination of the following:

Listed below are a number of past programs. Please note that some of these were delivered when we were previously known as Steplight.

3 Council’s Ecological Footprint Project

3 Council's Ecological Footprint ProjectThe three-Council Ecological Footprint Project included Woollahra, Waverley and Randwick Councils. It was an innovative approach for the Councils to work together on projects aimed at reducing the community-wide Ecological Footprint of residents in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. The three-Council project was assisted by the New South Wales Government through it’s Environmental Trust. As part of this project, we delivered over 600 home energy assessments to residents across the three local government areas.

Northwest Energy Efficiency Program

Energy Efficiency ProgramFor this program we coordinated the installation of 400 energy monitors in the Hills and Blacktown local government areas. All homes were contacted post-installation to make sure the monitors were working, to provide assistance if required, and to gather feedback. The majority of homes reported very positive feedback about the energy monitor. The program was funded by the Northwest Demand Management Fund (Integral Energy and Transgrid) in partnership with local government. For more information see our blog posts about the program results and program content.

3E Project

3E ProjectThe 3E Project targeted Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) small-medium enterprises in Western Sydney. It was funded by the Department of Industry as part of an Energy Information Grants Program. The program included delivery of Energy Efficiency Workshops, Fact Sheets (in 7 languages), Web Links & Resources, and Business Energy Audits.

Y Green Western Sydney

Y Green ProjectThis implementation of the Y Green program saw the completion of over 2,000 home energy and water assessments, delivered by 100 young people trained as sustainability assessors. The project involved collaboration between Steplight, MTC Work Solutions, Dusseldorp Skills Forum and seven local governments. The federal government Jobs Fund initiative funded the program.

The igreen Program

igreenigreen is a high school program which creates opportunities for the development of green skills in young people. It involves students completing a training program and then completing a number of home sustainability assessments in their local community. igreen programs have been implemented at a number of schools across three states (NSW, Victoria and Tasmania).
